Online media magazines are getting a boost in India

In the first quarter of 2017, iee magazines saw a surge in their online presence in India, compared to the same period last year, according to data from a recent survey conducted by analytics firm E-Media India.

The magazines saw an average increase in their monthly readership of 18,000, which is higher than the 5,000 readerships for the magazine’s online counterparts, according the study.

ieee, a digital content and e-commerce portal, reported an average monthly readerships of 9,000.

The online readership numbers also rose from 3,000 to 5,500.

iee also reported a jump in its monthly revenue from Rs 1.48 crore to Rs 2.02 crore.

 The increase in digital readership is attributed to the rise in the number of users using the mobile internet platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, according E-media India.

“The rise in popularity of digital content has increased the online magazine’s reach in India as well.

This is likely to lead to higher online magazine subscriptions in the country,” a spokesperson from E-medias research group said.

The Indian magazine industry has seen a boom in digital content, with the likes of e-reader apps like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon Kindle, and Flipboard all gaining followers on social media.

This growth has seen magazines like ieee and eee-news as platforms for online content.

The magazines have also grown their subscriber base in India by a large margin.

iees subscriber base is now a whopping 2.65 crore.
